in a pinch.

sometimes you just need a pinch of salt + a dash of pepper. i have had many requests for smaller salt + pepper cellars to put on the dinner table. some people feel funny about leaving salt and pepper out in the open and would rather re-fill them for each meal. these are petite, feel good in the hand, and are easy to pass around the table.

and this is what they look like when the salt + pepper is finished:
you can get a set right here.

with a grain of salt.

salt's profound impact on human civilization spans recorded history.....and precedes it.

kosher salt, sea salt, fleur de sel, rock salt, celtic salt, black salt, etc.....i love all salts.

here are some new salt bowls in my shop.

a bad fit.

i've had a lot of requests for covered salt cellars, but am having a BIG FIT over them.  failure after failure . . . EVERY single one.  the cracking, the bad fitting lids, and the always dreaded "oxides jumping out of the imprinted lettering." i'm hoping to get it right,  someday soon.  the good news is that instead of dumping these into the ocean, which i SO want to do, they will be on super sale at our SUPER seconds sale at fourth & clay on may 3rd + 4th.  seconds on fourth is a BIG EVENT featuring  josie, diana, whitney,  me + 2 fantastic textile artists.  items will be up to 75% off !!!!  check back soon for more details.
