i have a *thing* for great leather bags. i can't seem to get enough of them. this one, that i bought from neiko designs, is one of my all time favorites. it's a great size, super sturdy, and it smells nice.

i have a huge collection of linens. i especially love really old french linen, that thick flaxy feel drives me mad. to me, there is nothing more beautiful than a big stack of folded linen, and that is how simple i am.

this is my favorite orla kiely wallet. it's small, compact, and because of it's brightness, easy to find in the deep dark abyss of my purse.

last week i went to the launch party for a new and FABULOUS magazine called ANTHOLOGY. this is a wonderful new lifestyle print magazine that i am loving. it is the perfect size and printed on really nice recycled paper. they threw a fantastic party and served killer cocktails AND handed out little boxes filled with these delicious candies, to boot. what's NOT to love about anthology ?!

this is a new series i am working on: sketches on thin slabs of porcelain which are then glazed + fired. they are framed in shadow boxes (i brought this one to my last show, and it sold). i am trying to move away from functional art, and i love the idea of turning clay into my sketchbook. plus, being a production potter is really taking a toll on me physically AND mentally ! now i just want to draw.

friday field trip (from the sketch book).

san francisco, ca
2005

i love the look of the old fashion candies, they are like jewels. these were at miette in the ferry building, one of the cutest bakeries you will ever step foot in. these stick candies bring me back to a sweet + fond memory of childhood. i LOVED candy, as my dentist would gladly attest to. but later in life, my sweet tooth turned into a savory tooth. now, i much prefer the savory, and my sweet tooth is practically nil. but the sweet memories still live on . . .

i wore these sandals every day on our trek through greece (i had the tan marks for months afterwards to prove it !). greece is the most breathtakingly beautiful country i have ever been to thus far. i can not WAIT to go back.

i recently went to visit a good friend whose house is FILLED with beautiful 18th century french furniture + art. it was like living in a museum. ever so charming. i spent a good part of my stay walking around the house with my sketchbook . . . and another good part drinking champagne and catching up in front of one of the many fireplaces ! this was a foot stool that i adored . . . the colour was fabulous.

i saw these rings a few months ago at a beautiful store in new york called agas and tamar. they make gorgeous chunky jewelry using precious metals and gems. it was like being in a candy store and everything looked so yummy.
