nest.

i have this piece on display at the san francisco museum of craft + design show, "birds + their dwellings" which opens on october 11th and runs through november 13th.  the show is a vast and impressive array of medium depicting birds and the places they dwell. it is a very eclectic and inspiring collection of work and well worth the visit if you are in the area.

eggs in one basket.

i made 100 "eggs" in a nest to give as our wedding favors, each with a different word.  my future-husband and i came up with 100 verbs pertaining to a positive relationship.  sounds like a big task, but we actually did it in one sitting.  coincidentally, these eggs-in-a-nest are featured in this months brides of northern california magazine.  (click on the image to see the words up close)
