i have this piece on display at the san francisco museum of craft + design show, "birds + their dwellings" which opens on october 11th and runs through november 13th. the show is a vast and impressive array of medium depicting birds and the places they dwell. it is a very eclectic and inspiring collection of work and well worth the visit if you are in the area.

yes, the nest is made from "black mountain" clay and unglazed.
Love the contrast of the black clay and white egg.
