yesterday we took the train from san francisco to san luis obispo. it was stunningly beautiful. the central valley is extraordinarily picturesque from the train perspective. picture. postcard. perfect.
it makes me proud to be a central valley girl.

true, but i love the dry heat...it feels almost medicinal. it's the humidity that kills me to the core !
The valley IS so beautiful. Those yellow hills and that blue of the sky, one of my very favorite landscapes.
The central valley gets called a lot of names(armpit of California, etc.) but i'm still proud to be from there, and happy to hear you are proud too!

I love taking the train, but didn't realize there was one from S.F. to SLO. What a perfect little getaway.

thanks suzanne. and YES there is a train that goes right to SLO and 2 blocks from our FAVORITE b+b called the sanitarium. the train ride is so picturesque,..farms, animals, barns, tiny towns, etc...stunning, really.
